Why SUPA

Not another sriracha clone.

Most hot sauce shelves speak Western. We wanted a bottle that tastes like the food we grew up on.

The usual bottle

Heat
Dialled up with capsaicin extract, so the burn arrives without the flavour behind it.
Flavour
Built fast from a base recipe, then thickened and acidified to hold.
Taste
Westernised profiles, copied from shelves abroad.
Label
No face, no story, nothing you would recognise.
Consistency
Whatever the factory run gave you that week.

SUPA

Heat
No added capsaicin. The burn is the chilli's own, which is why it fades instead of flattening everything after it.
Flavour
Built slowly by natural lactic fermentation. The tang is made, not poured in.
Taste
Indian pairings: ananas with curry leaf, methi with corn, orange with mint.
Label
Characters you will recognise from your own family WhatsApp group.
Consistency
Every element is batch produced to the same spec, so this bottle tastes like your last one.

What you get

Swaad that shows up on every plate.

  • Depth that builds over time

Natural lactic fermentation gives a round, tangy, savoury flavour that no quick mix can copy.

  • No added capsaicin

We never add capsaicin extract. The burn is whatever the chillies bring, and every sauce carries a measured Scoville number so you know before you open it.

  • Flavours you already know

Pineapple with curry leaf. Methi with sweetcorn. Orange with mint. Familiar tastes, turned up.

  • Goes on, and in, everything

Spoon it on dosa and momos, whisk it into mayo, or use it as a marinade for the grill.

  • Steady for twelve months

Tested at twelve months and scored full marks for taste, smell and look. Shake before use, refrigerate once open.

  • Delivered across India

Shipping is a flat ₹70 per order, anywhere in India, shown at checkout before you pay. The six bottle double crew ships free.

How it's made

From chilli to bottle, without a shortcut.

  1. Chop and salt

Fresh chillies, fruit and herbs are chopped and packed with salt.

  2. Let it ferment

Natural lactic acid builds slowly until the sauce settles between pH 3.4 and 3.6, well under the 4.6 that food safety asks for. The tang comes from the ferment, not from a flavour mix.

  3. Blend and bottle

The ferment is blended, balanced and filled into 150 ml glass bottles. We have run the sauces to twelve months and scored full marks for taste, smell and colour.

Our story

Modern Indian maximalism, in a bottle.

SUPA is a small batch fermented chilli company. Sauces are where we started, because a table in India deserves a bottle with as much character as the food on it. They are not where we stop.

We started at pop ups and stalls, one tasting spoon at a time, and the spoons kept coming back for thoda aur.

Every flavour gets a face, drawn from the loud, colourful, slightly dramatic world of Indian street culture, the same world that gave us truck art, film posters and the aunty who says thoda aur le lo.

The flavours are regional without being hyper local, so you can taste the reference wherever you live. Pineapple and curry leaf. Methi and corn. Orange and mint.

How hot are the sauces?

Every sauce carries a measured Scoville number rather than an estimate. Ghas Phoos is the gentlest at 10,771, Naarang sits at 20,294 and Curry Daddy at 22,584. Because every element is batch produced to the same spec, the heat stays where it should bottle to bottle. Nothing is added to fake the burn.

What is in each bottle?

Every product card lists the full ingredients exactly as printed on the label, including acidity regulators, xanthan gum and preservatives.

Do you add capsaicin to make it hot?

No. The heat in every SUPA hot sauce is whatever the chillies bring. We do not add capsaicin extract, and nothing is added to the sauce purely to raise the burn. The preservatives on the label are there for shelf life, not for heat.

Is SUPA vegan?

Yes. Every ingredient is plant based and no animal product goes into any SUPA sauce, including the acidity regulators, the xanthan gum and the preservatives.

Does any sauce contain allergens?

Ghas Phoos contains celery. Curry Daddy and Naarang do not. Nothing in the range contains peanuts, tree nuts, milk, egg, fish, crustacea, soy or gluten. The full ingredients for every sauce are on its product card above, and if you react to celery, skip Ghas Phoos or message us before you order.

How should I store it, and how long does it keep?

Shake well before use and refrigerate after opening. Once open it keeps for up to twelve months in the fridge, and never past the best before date printed on the bottle.

Yes, to serviceable pincodes across India. Orders are dispatched once payment is confirmed, and we send tracking details on WhatsApp as soon as the parcel is handed to the courier.
